You already have everything a Shopify video ad needs: product photos, a price and an offer. The only thing missing is a fast way to turn them into motion. Here is the whole workflow, start to finish, with no editor and no designer.
1. Grab your product image
Open the product in your Shopify admin and download the cleanest image you have — ideally one on a plain or transparent background, which drops onto most templates without any masking. A single strong hero shot is enough.
2. Pick a template
Instead of a blank timeline, start from a Shopify-ready template. The layout, motion and timing are already built, so you are filling in a structure that works rather than inventing one.
3. Add product, price and CTA
Drop in the image, type your brand name, headline and price, and choose a call to action like Shop now. Because the template is locked, there is nothing to arrange and nothing to knock out of alignment.
4. Export for every placement
Shopify traffic mostly comes from Meta and TikTok, so render 9:16 for TikTok and Reels and 4:5 or 1:1 for feeds. Export the MP4s and upload them straight into your ad manager. See our format guide if you are unsure which to lead with.
Ship several, then test
Because each ad takes minutes, make three or four angles of the same product and let the platform find the winner. That is the real advantage of templating your Shopify ads: you can test creative instead of rationing it.
