Preview before you export
Play the ad in the editor to check the content, motion and timing. Exporting renders exactly what you see in the preview, so confirm it first. For a quick shareable clip while you work, you can also render a short preview.
Choose a format
Pick the aspect ratio for where the ad will run — 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts; 4:5 or 1:1 for Instagram and Facebook feeds; 16:9 for YouTube and display; and 4:3 where you need it. See sizes and formats for which to use where.
Export the MP4
Click Export. A progress overlay shows the render preparing and then a percentage as it finishes. Rendering happens on our servers, so you don’t need a powerful computer. When it’s done, download the MP4.
- Play the ad in the editor and confirm the content and timing look right.
- Select the aspect ratio you need for the placement (9:16, 1:1, 4:5, 16:9 or 4:3).
- Click Export and wait while VoolMotion renders your video.
- When rendering finishes, download the finished MP4 and upload it to your ad platform.
Cancel an export
If you started an export by mistake, use Cancel in the export overlay to stop the render. You can make changes and export again at any time.
Quality and the free-plan watermark
Paid plans export watermark-free MP4s, with export quality depending on your plan. Free Starter exports include a VoolMotion watermark; upgrading removes it and unlocks paid render limits — see the billing guide and pricing.
Re-downloading your export
On paid (Pro) plans, VoolMotion keeps your most recent export for each project for 30 days. Open the project and use the video button next to Exportto see the saved file and download it again — no need to re-render. Exporting again replaces the stored video, so there’s always one export saved per project. On the free Starter plan exports are delivered for download only and aren’t stored, so keep your own copy after downloading.
Export at scale with the API
Need videos for a whole catalog? The Rendering API turns product data into finished MP4s automatically. See the Rendering API and webhooks guides.
